1. Can I book any airline?

We currently have access to more than 500 airlines worldwide. There are a few airlines that we do not currently sell through our site, such as Go, EasyJet, Southwest Airlines and a few smaller carriers. This list does change and will be updated as those changes occur. If the airline you’re looking for is a charter airline (like JMC or Airtours), please use our charter airline search instead.

2. What about charter flight operators like JMC or Airtours?

These airlines can be found and booked through our charter airline search page.

3. Why can’t I find all flights?

We search for scheduled carrier fares based on price. We will show you up to five of the cheapest available fares from our own database, and four fares as quoted directly from the airline reservations system.  Our flight search is based around the preferred flight time you choose. If you would like more options, try entering another time of departure. If you’re looking for charter flights, try our charter airline search page.

4. Can I change or cancel my reservation once it has been ticketed?

If you need to change your flight arrangements, please contact our call center on the telephone number listed on your itinerary. Many lower-price tickets have restrictions or penalties, which will be applied if booking changes need to be made. These regulations can be seen prior to purchasing your tickets. There is a link to the fare rules on every flight booking form.

5. Why do other companies sometimes advertise lower prices?

There are a few reasons for this:

  • A small number of low-cost airlines such as Go and EasyJet do not currently participate in the airline reservation system we use. To make reservations with those airlines, you must contact our call centre or call those specific airline offices directly.
  • We don’t believe in showing ‘lead-in’ prices, and will only show you what is actually available for your chosen dates and times. Other companies may advertise fares that are only available for a handful of seats, which may already be sold out. We usually have access to the same or better fares as other companies in the UK.
  • Some travel companies buy blocks of seats from airlines, which allows them more flexibility when selling those seats.

6. I know there's a flight on this airline at this time, but you don’t list it. Why not?

We show you only those flights that have seats available for your party size. All seats on the flight you're looking for have already been sold, or there aren’t enough seats left for your party size.

7. Why does my itinerary say there are seats available, but when I go to reserve them, it says none are available?

Because we are using a real-time reservation database, availability can change between the time an itinerary is created and a ticket is reserved or purchased. Tickets are constantly being sold around the world, so a flight may become fully sold out only seconds after your search. The same applies to hotel rooms and car rentals.

8. What do the Advanced Flight Options do?

We recommend you leave as many of these options open as you can, as it will increase your chances of finding the lowest fares.

Airline: If you have a preference for a certain airline, please type it in this box. This may restrict you from many search results, and hence the lowest prices. It may also mean that we occasionally find no results, as the airline may not fly the route, or may do so only on certain dates.

Non-Stop only: This will show only non-stop flight options for your chosen route. It may not be possible to fly non-stop on certain routes, in which case you will probably get no results. It is often cheaper to fly with connecting flights than non-stop.

Fares with least restrictions: These fares are almost always more expensive, as they allow more flexibility for changes and cancellations after ticketing.

Fares with no advance-purchase restrictions: Again, these fares may be more expensive, as they can be purchased at any time up to the date of travel.

9. Is my credit card number safe?

We use the Secure Sockets Layer encryption on all of our booking pages. SSL encodes all your personal information so that it is accessible only to you and us. We will use your information to ensure all documents are issued correctly and payments are secure. This encryption makes doing business over the Internet more secure than making a purchase by telephone.

10. Why can’t I book a flight more than 11 months in advance?

The airlines don’t publish their airline schedules or availability more than 331 days in advance.  Sorry.

11. Why can’t I buy a ticket less than four days in advance?

You can, but because of processing and delivery times, not through the website. If you would like to travel on a flight within the next four days, please contact our call centre, which may be able to arrange collection of your ticket at the airport or courier delivery, where possible.

13. Questions about infants in laps / child ages / student tickets, etc.?

Infants under two years of age qualify for much-reduced prices, as they do not get their own seats. If you want your infant to sit in its own seat, you will have to treat it as a child in the reservations process. Children are aged between 2 and 11 years inclusive. If you have questions about student prices, or senior-citizen fares, please contact our call centre.

14. Questions about air-passes / stop-overs / round-the-world tickets, etc.?

Currently we are not able to offer these types of bookings online. However, we have a wide range of highly competitive products available through our call centre. Please call us for a quote.

15. Hints / tips about finding the cheapest fare.

  • Make sure your trip includes a Saturday-night stay
  • Don’t fly on the busiest days of the week (i.e. Friday)
  • Don’t fly at the busiest times (before 10 a.m.)
  • Don’t specify a preferred airline
  • Use the same airline out and back
  • Be prepared to go via another airport en route (don’t select the non-stop-only option on the advanced menu)
  • If you’re going to a package holiday destination, try looking for a charter flight as well
  • If you’re planning on purchasing accommodation at your destination, try our holiday search instead of the flights-only search, or contact our call centre: By combining a hotel with a flight in the same purchase, you will get access to our special ‘inclusive tour’ airfares and hotel rates

16. I don’t know the name of my destination/departure airport. Can I search by region, state or country?

Yes. In fact, we will accept all searches, by country, state or region, city, airport name or airport code. For example, with regard to the following destinations:

  • ‘Washington’ will return all airports with the word ‘Washington’ in them
  • ‘Washington DC’ will return all airports in the U.S. city of ‘Washington DC’
  • ‘Washington State’ will return all airports in Washington State
  • ‘Goa’ will prompt you to specify ‘India’ or ‘Italy’, as GOA is also the three-letter airport code for Genoa
  • ‘Peru’ will return all airports in the country of Peru

Our only restriction is that we will not return more than 50 airports in any given search because the results would become far too unweildy!
